Okay, I shall work hard on this critique ;v; First of all, let me say I love your artwork , yet my critiques are long since I don't want to miss out any detail ;v; With that off my chest, let's go on!
Inking I'm glad to see someone doing traditional inking, since a lot of artists nowadays just do everything digitally... Inking traditionally is an amazing experience ;v; And it definetely teaches a lot, and can lead to achieving great results. Well! You did a great job on the inking process. I can see there's accent on the areas which are "closer", from a perspective point of view. The bat is a great example. Also, those slightly fuller lines where two things combine, such as the tee-sleve with her arm and between her legs PFFF I wrote EGGS xDD is also great. Nothing much to add here, just a bit more value to the line which divides her chin and her neck. Making it a bit stronger helps create the illusion of distance on a 2D picture. Lineart execution was great! You have a lof or practice in this area, I can tell
Pose You went experimental with this! (Getting these kind of positions right is a paint ;_; )It's not a pose people usually go for, but it's great to practise perspective and different ways to give movement to an illustration. It's fun, but it looks a bit awkward. The perspective of her left hand is a bit off, even if it's meant to be way behind her. Her feet are the right size but her left feet seems dislocated. Othe rthan that, the size of her haid is precise, the perspective from her chest to her hips is also okay, and her right hand is perfect, I love that hand, that haand! Each bone is nicely shaped and... just ngh Also, the kinetik lines (if that's the way they are called in English, its "lineas cineticas" in Spanish) that you added to her bat are the other way around, making her bat look bent instead of in movement; they should have been placed in the other side-.
~In overall, excecution for pose was ok. Moving on!
Coloring Now, this is where you shine the most... lamest pun EVER Your coloring skills are superb! The tone you chose for her sking is really lively, and even if most of her outfit is colored with saturated colors, they all complement each other! The color palette is spot on, the highlights are really cute and not excesive, and the way your color blood is, in my opinion, flawless. JUST LOOK AT THAT BAT. ... GEEZ The only thing this would be lacking would be perspective shading (I don't really know how to call it, so I'll try to explain): for example, the part of her arm which is peeping behind her chest should be a bit darker, along with some parts of her jeans, and some spots of her leg behind her arm. I see there's shading there, but a thin line of a darker tone already makes a great difference. Don't misread me, it's still superb
Execution of coloring was great! Remarcable, actually. I'm still amazed at how you use such saturated colors and make your character still look balanced!
Background Simple backgrounds tend to work for most pictures, and they save a lot of time... Still, they have to match the theme of the picture and, if kept simple, you probably want the focus to be on the character and not on the background. I'm not going to lie, the colors you chose for the background are just... Wrong. Maybe not the colors itself, but the level of saturation is too high, they are as bright and lively as the character, and since it was kept simple, all those chunks of color just make your eye deviate, and you can't properly focus on the character. Don't misunderstand, please: I am not blind, I most obviously can see Alice, but the background is so distracting! The theme of the big "crashing" thingies, stars, or whatever they are is o.k., but the colors won't let me focus;
Execution of the background was distracting.
In overall: Great inking, amazing coloring, interesting but bizarre posing, distracting background =====> Really nice picture! I'd give it a 8/10 : D
I hope I didn't offend you in any way in this :'D I make a lot of these mistakes and MORE myself;; But I hope this helped! ^0^/ And sorry again for making it too long
