Copic Eye Tutorial by XXAnemia Copic Eye Tutorial by XXAnemia
YAY!!
This is how I draw and color eyes.

Another thing is blend blend blend!! I do the whole iris while it's still wet which is hard to show with a picture tutorial. If it dries and doesn't blend properly, don't worry, just go over it again with the lighter color until it looks ok!

If you use it, make sure you send me what you come up with!! i'd love to see!

Awesome. That's a lot of work (for some people) to color eyes but it really pays off in the end. Very unique.

I love how you have so much variety, and room for creativity in this! Won't the markers get a little messed up if you layer them over eachother like that, though? Whenever I do that it bleeds, or darkens way too much.

How can you do that with markers :wow:? And everything looks so perfect! Whenever I try traditional art, I always screw up, like draw a line wonky or something XD

Seeing traditional tutorials! :D This is about how I do my eyes as well, although not so much shine on mine. ;) I actually loved the eye shadow! :D I should try it some time; I've never done makeup before. :3

I didn't really find this much of a tutorial.. You didn't really say how you added the colors, and what kind of colors and why those colors and yeah..

it's a technique tutorial, not everyone who follows it wants to draw a red eye with blue eyeshadow haha, what's the point of only drawing one eye on a page anyway?
it's just how i work because some people were interested, it's meant to be applied to your own work, i don't expect everyone to do an exact copy of mine

Well I'm just saying it doesn't have to be those exact colors but why use them together y'know?
How does it make it look good? Why should it be used that way? Why do /you/ use it that way?
What types of colors should you use with other colors?
I.e. if you did a blue eye, would you use purple ontop?

I use Prismacolors. :) They'll work the exact same way! The major differences are that Copics color just a TINY bit smoother by default (Prismacolors can color just as smooth, it just takes more work), have a very minor difference in texture (only noticeable when you put them next to each other), and Copics are refillable. Really though, they're the same type of marker, so you can do the same things. :D
