And to clarify, I was trolling. Apparently very well, considering you attempted re-ignite the exchange over Facepunch. You seem to be much less of a critbuster from the last time I checked your gallery, so that's why I felt it necessary to post a serious response like this.
Anyway, good luck as an artist. And this post might not be the most coherent thing on earth, I'm a little less than sober right now.
This picture was drawn before I ever had anything to do with you so I'm not sure what to say back to you telling me this is an improvement o_o
You'll probably just reply to this telling me I'm bashing your really helpful critique though
Anyway idgaf this looks pretty good
but the cranium collapsed (like this guy [link] )
and the shoulders and chest are a bit fucked too, the piece's saving grace is the coloring, values, texture, etc
And saying "study anatomy" is a perfectly fine thing to say, considering it's kinda dumb to focus on, say, leg anatomy and go "close enough" and have well-drawn legs on a two-dimensional gary coleman body
so go to barne's n noble's, border's, or whatever you have in crazy backwards australia and get any given anatomy book (ex. "Sketching People, by Jeff Mellem") and draw the same shit over and over again until you get it right. That's what you have to do if you want to go anywhere with art.
If you don't, and you're just drawing this stuff for fun, by all means ignore this advice. But if you're planning on getting a job having to do with art, you need to do this. From a technical standpoint anatomy and perspective are your only weak points. Don't waste that talent.
Life drawing is a thousand times better for practising anatomy than just copying a 2 dimensional picture out of a book can ever be, sorry but, I'm not going to copy someone else's flawed drawings when I can just go and draw a nude model who is real and standing in front of me
Again, last December bro
critique something valid
colors are cool but you need more anatomy practice :3
You seem to improved a tad. nice one.
This pic is from January, go critique something new of mine if you want to actually be helpful, and give me a more useful suggestion than "you need more anatomy practice", that's the most awful mistake people make when trying to give a critique, it's impossible NOT to get "anatomy practise" if you keep drawing... you could have tried giving me suggestions on how to get anatomy practise, like suggested I go to more life drawing classes, or.... you tell me.
Try telling me what exactly can be improved with the chest, neck and shoulders next time, and I'm sure you'll be great at critiquing in no time at all.
thanks
Anatomy practice as in.. look up reference.. do some studies..
no prob.
